Profile: Andrew Ramsbottom
I am a primary school teacher who gave away classroom teaching because I am passionate about helping churches see children and families getting to know God through creative, fun, exciting and challenging Bible interaction and training.
Role Profile
As a children and families consultant, I support children's ministry leaders in churches by providing training for teams of leaders. In addition, I help leaders to plan various ministries in churches and the community. I am enthusiatic about evangelism, telling the stories of God in the Bible in creative and interactive ways and helping churches to explore doing things with all ages together. I also head up the SUPAkidz children’s camping ministry across New Zealand.
Personal Profile
I became a Christian at the age of ten on a Scripture Union camp in South Africa. I'm married to Gill, also a primary school teacher, and we moved to New Zealand in 1995 and have three boys James (12), Chris (9) and Thomas (6). I have been a volunteer with Scripture Union since the age of 16 and have been on staff with SU South Africa too. Technology is a hobby of mine and I am exploring how it may be used in ministry.
