STARTING SUPAKIDZ IN YOUR LOCAL SCHOOL

Scripture Union is a great opportunity to be a part of your local school. We make it a priority...

We make it a priority to give help to SUPAkidz clubs. We will help you get started. We also provide some resources and full programme ideas every term. Leaders receive SUPAkidz magazine, our quarterly newsletter full of ideas and handy tips. We offer training too an other resources are available when you need them. Leaders are encouraged to contact staff workers anytime for anything!

We ask for an annual $70 affiliation fee to help us with costs.

If you want to start a SUPAkidz club, these are the steps you need to take:

1. Pray. Ask God what he wants and prayerfully consider your own availability as leader. You might want to seek out one or more other adults to help you pray.

2. Decide whether an SUPAkidz Club would be right for your local school and community. It may be helpful to contact local ministers and other interested Christians to seek their support.

3. Find other Christian adults to help you.

4. Talk to Scripture Union. Ask for an application pack. This must be completed and permission to proceed given before you begin.

5. Approach the principal and/or Board of Trustees and ask for permission for a club to operate in the school with you as leaders.

6. Plan a relevant and exciting way to begin SUPAkidz in your school.

7. Advertise. Make sure you include a parental permission form.

8. Take your first meeting!
